14.4. 1982: die beiden ehemaligen Kunststudenten Dirk E. Schaetzler und Peter Obroni buchen ein Ticket mit dem Nachtzug von Düsseldorf nach Genf. Der Zug wird ohne ihre Kenntnisnahme geteilt und ihre Garnitur nach Wien geführt.

 

Sie lernten sich Mitte der 1970er in der Kunstklasse von Joseph Beuys kennen. Dort wurden sie mit einer neuen Auffassung von Kunst konfrontiert, die nicht das Werk, sondern die Haltung in den Mittelpunkt stellte. Als Beuys als Professor an der Düsseldorfer Akademie entlassen wurde, quittierten auch Obroni und Schaetzler 1975 ihr Studium.

15.4.: Ankunft am Wiener Südbahnhof. Einquartierung im Hotel Erica in der Favoritenstraße. Erste Kontakte mit dem Wiener Kunst- und Halbweltmilieu.

1982/83: Schaetzler und Obroni gründen eine Kunstspedition.

Herbst 1987: Die Speditionsfirma ist bankrott. Obroni und Schaetzler sind mittellos und ziehen in Obronis Wohnung in der Triester Straße zusammen. Dort entstehen die ersten Lieder von morgen es wird schoen.

23.2.1988: erster Auftritt von morgen es wird schoen im Foyer des Hotels Erica. Wenig Besucher, aber alle sind danach Fans. Das zweite Konzert (in einer benachbarten Bar) war schon gut besucht, darunter auch Mitglieder der Entourage von Burgtheaterdirektor Claus Peymann. Diese luden sie ein, im Café Korb in der Wiener Innenstadt ein Konzert zu spielen, der ihren Durchbruch als Geheimtipp der Wiener Underground-Szene bedeutet.

1989: erste Erwähnung in der Presse (Falter, 19/89). Ihr Stil des ausschweifenden absurd-philosophischen Interviews setzt Zeichen.

1989-1992: ca. 50 Konzerte in und um Wien, dazu noch ein paar inoffizielle in Bahnhofshallen, U-Bahnen und auf der Straße.

Februar 1992: Aufnahme der ersten EP „false stars“ im Studio Kaputt/Wien

Mai 1992: Gastspiel an der Schauspielschule Falckenberg in München

Juni 1992: Obroni und Schaetzler lösen morgen es wird schoen plötzlich und ohne Angabe von Gründen auf.

Arthur went down to Albania to get an idea of the area He wrote some sketches in a diary and soon he had the idea
of writing a book for all the people who’ve never made it down to Albania so he sat down at the desk and unleashed the words in his diary

Patrick went to the museum to deliver a chair the he made He had no glue but a clue how to fix the price that seems adequate.
So now a chair of Patrick’s flair is standing among those of the masters. He didn’t tell the director that  the price covers 100 times the expense,

Julia Julia with the big ass (I mean, it’s just bigger as she wants it) came back from New York with ideas without forks and soon the people got what the needed.
And Luca, a friend of a close friend, invented right at the same moment in the same trade the same lemonade which makes everybody drop the best comments.

And what about my so called friend Boris, did you see him right above us? It wouldn’t be fair to stare in the air, cause maybe that could make him so nervous.
And what about me, have you heard about me, I mean, could you imagine to do so? Fear is sometimes just a bad habit so here comes the choir in stereo:

Don’t blame me
You can’t go like this and leave your innocence in bliss responsible for all you do and independent, too.
Two of us apart, so plant a mirror for your self-regard. A lie expressed in flattery serves the truth you wouldn’t see.

Your head is quite clear, you’ve got your reasons!, nothing to fear,
you’ve got your reasons! “You’ve done no wrong as wrong as he”, the mirror speaks in flattery.

I can look through you a twisted mind with nothing to do this self-reproach weighs heavily on your shoulder

This is a cosy place I feel the gods‘ embrace…

The Chinese kids on a cattle’s tail take some pictures of me and fail
to immortalize, because I’d fade into a pie of rye I’ve made
that a black dog wants so much to eat, he entered the play with a respectable speed
Black as hell Polite as well Didn’t touch the pie, but he was…

…peeing in the grass, living means no mess
and the pubes beneath me are tickling at my ass.

while outside the future beasts wait untamed.
